Cultivation Practice

What is Falun Dafa?

Falun Dafa, also called Falun Gong, is a cultivation practice that provides the foundations for a tranquil mind and a healthy body. Mr. Li Hongzhi founded the practice, which he began publicly teaching in China in 1992. The practice includes study to improve one’s character and five gentle exercises to purify the body. Falun Dafa teaches one to assimilate to the highest characteristics of the universe: Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Exercise instruction, study groups and events are always free.

How Can I Get Started?

All Falun Dafa materials needed to practice are available at FalunDafa.org, free of charge, including exercise instructional videos, exercise music, books, audio lectures and video lectures.

You can also learn the Falun Dafa exercises with our volunteers. We practice together on Saturday and Sunday mornings, 10 AM to noon, on the grassy area next to the building that houses the Liberty Bell (Independence National Historical Park, 525 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19106). If we need to cancel a session for any reason, such as inclement weather, we will announce the cancelation on the News and Events page of this website.

Another option for learning more about Falun Dafa and the exercises and is to take a webinar through this website: https://www.learnfalungong.com
